Genevieve “Sue” Lorraine Hunter was born to Virgil and Patricia (Greyowl) LaFortune on December 12, 1956, at Chamberlain. She grew up in Huron where she was raised by her foster parents, Edger and Donna Rudy. She attended Huron High School.
On February 14, 1989, Sue married Richard Hunter, Sr. at Huron.
Sue enjoyed roses, working crossword puzzles, watching Family Feud and walking outside.
Sue is survived by her husband, Richard Hunter, Sr. of Huron; three children, Richard “Ricky” Hunter, Jr. of Huron, Donna Hunter of Colorado and Matthew Peters of Huron; three grandchildren; one brother, Bernard “Beep” Greyowl of Fort Thompson; two sisters, Mary Allen Brink of Vivian and Beverley Carpenter of Rapid City; two uncles, Melvin Greyowl and Donald Greyowl, both of Stephan; four sisters-in-law, Judy Fry of Ohio, Bobby Carpenter of Kentucky, Diane Harrington of Huron and Greta Carpenter of Arizona; two brothers-in-law, Kenny Hunter and David Hunter, both of Wichita, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth LaFortune and Richard Mills; and two sisters, Charlotte Greyowl Johnson and Melvina Greyowl Burger.Download and Print
